According to reports on June 26, 2LSON member Noel revealed the sudden death of his groupmate, stating, “Jason visited Thailand for a vacation but passed away there on June 12 due to a sudden heart attack. His funeral was held on June 17.”
Noel also shared that the three members had not been in touch recently due to their busy personal lives. He said, “We had lost contact because of our respective jobs, so I was deeply shocked by the sudden news. It took me some time to process this and share it because Jason’s family was so devastated… As he was a beloved composer, I wanted to convey this final news.”
2LSON, a producing team consisting of Jason, LE, and Noel, was formed in 2011 and last promoted in 2020. They are best known for their collaboration with Ailee on the song “I’m in Love.”
