Preview and Speculation

Recap of Episode 5
Dark Gathering Episode 5 showed Keitarou attending his university circle’s welcome party to make friends and return to society. He had trouble connecting with others, so he took Nagayama’s offer to go to an after-party. However, this was a trap as Nagayama was a spirit who had possessed someone to try and get people to commit suicide.
Fortunately, Eiko was spying on Keitarou with her laptop, which she closed as soon as Yayoi entered her room. Yayoi heard a spirit coming from Eiko’s laptop and realized that Eiko liked Keitarou. They rushed to Keitarou’s location and rescued him from the spirit.
After that, Yayoi offered to teach Keitarou how to deal with spiritual encounters. She also invited him and Eiko to go camping with her.

She is very protective of Keitarou and has a dark obsession with him. She monitors his vitals, places hidden cameras and GPS trackers on him, and spies on him with her laptop. She also has excellent grades and skills in computer science.
Kana Hanazawa voices Eiko.
Yayoi Houzuki
Yayoi Houzuki is Eiko’s younger sister and Keitarou’s first student. She is a high school student with polycoria (two pupils in each eye) that allows her to see ghosts. She became interested in spirits after an accident that killed her parents and left her an orphan.
She witnessed her mother’s ghost being abducted by an embryo-like spirit, and she vowed to get her back by capturing ghosts and defeating the culprit. She has an IQ of over 160 and is very intelligent and resourceful.
