On October 1, 2023, he decided to play in Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens despite his injuries. In a defeat, he recorded a team-high six receptions for 77 yards while sporting a mask to protect his face. Playing through the agony gave him a “rush,” and he wanted to see his team win.
