Many celebrities have spoken out against the intrusive activities of sasaeng followers because they have grown increasingly concerned about their privacy being invaded. Jaejoong voiced his displeasure and worry regarding sasaeng taxis on January 22 through his social media accounts. He went into detail about sasaeng taxis that would lurk in different places, their drivers using risky techniques. The emotional toll these activities impose on individuals is highlighted by Jaejoong, who condemns them.
There have been several occasions where EXO members have spoken out about the pain that sasaeng fans have given them. For example, in March, Baekhyun shared on the fan community Bubble his plans to take vocal lessons and his wish to study undisturbed. He said that he had trouble focusing because a sasaeng enthusiast had visited him.
With an average of one hundred calls each day on his personal cell phone, EXO member Sehun has been inundated with phone calls. Disappointed, he said, “I don’t change my number on purpose because even if I do, I still get calls, which is even more annoying.”
