Slow Dancing, a single from BTS’s Taehyung’s debut solo album Layover, has surpassed 300 million streams on Spotify, marking yet another impressive achievement for the artist. His achievement, which he announced on February 15, 2024, cemented his position as Spotify’s first and only K-soloist with four singles that had accumulated more than 300 million streams.
It took 160 days for Slow Dancing to reach 300 million, but once it did, it became the second-fastest song by V and the fourth to do it overall. The fact that the BTS member has accomplished this solo, without the help of any other musicians or producers, deserves special mention.
Beyond proud of him💖#SlowDancing300M

Taehyung Smashes the Record for Most Solo Songs by a K-pop Artist with More Than 300 Million Streams on Spotify
Even though he is serving his country, BTS’ V never ceases to amaze fans with his accomplishments and surprises. Another photoshoot partnership was revealed by the BTS member on February 14, 2024. The next day, on February 15, 2024, V broke yet another record, and word of it quickly spread. Just a short time ago, he became the first K-pop soloist to reach the incredible milestone of having over 17 million Spotify followers. V surpassed all other K-pop soloists on the platform in terms of followers with this accomplishment.
At the same time, V’s solo debut album Layover’s track “Slow Dancing” had an unprecedented 300 million streams on Spotify. This was Taehyung’s second song from Layover to reach this milestone, and his fourth overall; he became the only Korean soloist to have more songs than that.
Here are his previous songs that have achieved this accomplishment before, along with the number of days it took:
