A fresh character visual has been revealed for the upcoming Kaiju No. 8 TV anime series, showcasing the main character in his monstrous form gearing up to confront an unknown Kaiju creature.

Behind-the-Scenes Team
Shigeyuki Miya and Tomomi Kamiya are directing the anime, with Ichiro Ohkouchi as the series screenwriter.
Tetsuya Nishio is responsible for character design, while Mahiro Maeda handles kaiju design. Yuuta Bandoh is the music composer.
Additional staff members include Studio Khara as kaiju supervisor, Izumi Hirose as color designer, and Shinji Kimura as art director. Production I.G is in charge of animation production.
Main Voice Cast
The anime’s primary voice cast includes Masaya Fukunishi as Kafka Hibino, Asami Seto as Mina Ashiro, Wataru Katou as Reno Ichikawa, Fairouz Ai as Kikoru Shinomiya, and Kengo Kawanishi as Soshiro Hoshina.

Origins and Spin-Offs
Kaiju No. 8 originated as an action manga series by Naoya Matsumoto, first published in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ online magazine in July 2020.
A spin-off manga titled Kaiju No.8: B-Side, focusing on side stories of Defense Force members, began serialization in January 2024.
Additionally, a four-chapter side-story light novel, authored by Keiji Ando and illustrated by Matsumoto, was released in November 2022.

Synopsis
VIZ Media publishes the Kaiju No.8 manga in English for North America. The story follows Kafka’s aspirations to join the Japan Defense Force alongside his childhood friend Mina.
However, Kafka faces obstacles as he finds himself on the Defense Force’s neutralization list under the code name Kaiju No. 8.
