Another international accolade has been bestowed to Kim Taehyung, better known as V from BTS, for his solo debut. The iHeartRadio Music Awards were place at Los Angeles’s Dolby Theatre on April 1, 2024. The event, which was started in 2014 by the well-known radio station iHeartRadio, honors the top musicians and songs of the previous year.
“Layover,” Taehyung’s September 2023 debut EP, was named the “Favorite Debut Album” by the magazine. The iHeartRadio Music Award for “Favorite Debut Album” is Taehyung’s first solo honor, but he has received several as a member of BTS.

Layover is Taehyung’s showcase for his unique vocal style, which he achieves by skillfully fusing classic and modern elements. His music videos, which draw inspiration from the past, feature visual representations of the songs that incorporate his love of jazz, lo-fi, and R&B.
With its departure from the group’s usual sound and current musical trends, ‘Layover’ has garnered accolades from critics since its release for revealing Taehyung’s unique musical style and artistic vision.
