Selena Gomez has responded to her boyfriend Benny Blanco’s recent comments about marriage and kids. Fans are buzzing with curiosity as they await Gomez’s thoughts on Blanco’s remarks. Let’s dive into what the pop sensation had to say about the topic of marriage and starting a family with her significant other.
Selena Gomez Reacts To Boyfriend Benny Blanco Saying About Marriage And Kids
Selena Gomez is well aware of the recent comments made by her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, and she’s completely okay with them! In a recent interview with Howard Stern, Blanco, who has been dating Gomez for almost a year, opened up about his thoughts on marriage and having kids.
“He’s not one to hide the truth. When asked a question, he’ll give an honest answer,” Gomez reveals in the latest issue of Time magazine.
Although the “Love On” singer didn’t give any specific details about when marriage or kids might happen, she assured everyone that her boyfriend was sticking around.
“I’ve seen how people can be towards the ones I care about. Even my own fans, who mean the world to me and have helped shape who I am, can sometimes say hurtful things about my life choices,” she says. “But he’s strong and resilient. He doesn’t let any of that negativity affect him. It’s really admirable, and I cherish every moment with him. I can’t predict the future, but I know he’s not leaving anytime soon.”
During his conversation with Stern, Blanco doesn’t hold back from expressing his feelings for his girlfriend.
“I see marriage in the cards,” Stern remarked about their relationship. When Stern suggested that Blanco might not have time for children, Blanco was quick to dismiss that notion.
“Why not? That’s my next big goal,” he exclaimed. “I have plenty of godchildren and nephews. I love being around kids.”
Reflecting on her unexpected romance with her longtime friend in an interview with Time, Gomez admits that she didn’t see it coming, especially since she initially asked him to set her up with someone else.
“It just happened out of the blue,” she shares. While Gomez is happy and deeply in love, she emphasizes that her relationship status doesn’t solely define her happiness.
“It’s not everything, especially because he isn’t my sole source of happiness,” the Rare Beauty founder explains. “I spent five years on my own, and I got used to it. I struggled with the idea of being alone for about two years, and then I made peace with it. I even made a plan that if I didn’t meet anyone by 35, I would adopt.”
Gomez, 31, and Blanco, 36, confirmed their relationship in December 2023. Since then, they’ve been publicly expressing their love for each other and sharing affectionate moments on social media.
Earlier this month, a source revealed to ET that the couple is “doing great” and that “they motivate each other in positive ways and inspire each other to be better individuals.”
“Benny thinks Selena is extraordinary,” the source added, while Gomez appreciates Blanco’s caring nature and his protective instincts towards her.
