As far as I know, there are no plans for season 2 of Bofuri. Is it getting a second chance or is it going to be canceled? Let’s get started with the information we’ve gathered for you now.

Bofuri: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Increase My Defense is a Japanese light novel series written and illustrated by Yuumikan and credited to Koin as the series’ lead illustrator. There are 12 volumes in this light novel, which was released on September 8th, 2017.

Fujimi Shobo in Japan and Yen Press in English have published this novel. In addition, the manga series is based on the novel as well.

It premiered on January 8, 2020, on AT-X and ABC and concluded with 12 episodes on March 25, 2020, on Tokyo MX, TVA, and BS11, as well as an anime series adapted from the same source material.

Shin Oonuma and Mirai Minato illustrated the anime series, while Fumihiko Shimo wrote the script. Kadokawa announced the film adaptation on December 6th, 2018.

Funimation has licensed the series for a SimulDub version. The series received an IMDb rating of 7.5/10.

Audiences adore this video game anime as well. The characters in the series and the world are both beautiful and vibrant. I love watching cute stories about little kids.

The series is based on a game that is adored by a wide range of people from around the world. Recommendation: You will feel alive after watching this series.

It’s good news for anime fans because the makers of the series announced the second season’s production in the final episode of season 1, and it will premiere in 2022. Season 2 of Bofuri is out now, so let’s take a look at that.

When will Bofuri Season 2 be Released?

“Bofuri” fans will be thrilled to learn that Season 2 has been announced, and it will be out soon.

Announcing that Season 2 will premiere sometime in 2022, Silver Link wrapped up Season 1’s conclusion. To put it mildly, I’m pleasantly surprised.

Not many new animes get a second season renewed so quickly. Fans are frequently left in the dark about whether or not their favorite show will be returning during a time when no announcements have been made. Fortunately, “Bofuri” does not fall into this category.

However, this does not mean that the situation is completely free of anxiety. The Season 2 announcement came during the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic when even the most popular shows were experiencing delays.

As of now, no one knows if the pandemic had any effect on the development of “Bofuri” Season 2 at all. As long as Silver Link hasn’t commented on the matter, things are going as planned.Bofuri' Season 2

Who will be in Bofuri Season 2’s Cast?

“Bofuri” has a lot of action, but its greatest strength is in its characters. Even though our main character, Kaede Honjou (also known as Maple in the game), can gain an advantage, the focus of the show is on the fun she has made new friends through the game.

She begins by simply playing with a friend from high school but quickly rises to the position of guild leader and a prominent member of the RPG’s larger community.

If you want to get people invested in your show, you need a strong cast. That’s where “Bofuri” comes in. Since the show’s central cast will return to their roles when it is released, the likelihood is that it will continue to be so.

Thus, Kaede Hondo and Megan Shipman will be the driving force behind Maple’s events.

This does not mean that we should forget about the supporting cast. Maple Tree’s core members are expected to reprise their roles in both the Japanese and English dubs, which Funimation has traditionally streamed concurrently with the original (via Anime News Network).

That being said, “Bofuri” Season 2 is likely to see the return of characters like Sally (Ruriko Noguchi/Jad Saxton), Koroma, and Kanade (Satomi Arai/Brittney Karbowski).

What will be the story of Bofuri Season 2?

In the Season 1 finale of “Bofuri,” Maple Tree is one of the last teams standing in the latest community event in NewWorld Online. Maple Tree’s mettle is tested in a titanic showdown with their main rival, team Holy Sword. It all comes down to Maple and Payne in the end.

Despite Payne’s best efforts, Maple’s Atrocity form emerges as a final ace in the hole for them both. Another team (the Flame Emperors) wins, and Maple Tree finishes in a respectable third place thanks to her most recent Overpowered ability. After the event, Maple invites everyone, even their enemies, to a party.

With no further details given in regards to Maple and her friends, we know that Silver Link has a lot to work with. The canon of “Bofuri” is mostly upheld across all three mediums, even though there are some minor deviations.

With the anime’s first season-ending at Volume 4 of the light novel’s 12 entries, all other adaptations of the story are much further along than the anime itself (via Kadokawa Books).

Despite the lack of a formal English synopsis of the subsequent events of “Bofuri,” fans can expect to see Maple goofball her way to success in NewWorld Online’s virtual reality fantasy world. Once the second season of “Bofuri” premieres, there will be a lot to laugh about.

Conclusion

Bofuri’s first original episode, which aired on January 8, 2020, and featured the title defense and first battle, and which was well-received by fans, ran for a total of 12 episodes before concluding with the season 1 finale, “Defense and Bonds,” is where fans come to find out when the next season of Bofuri will premiere.

The good news about the announcement of season 2 came quickly after the conclusion of season 1, which is unusual in animated series.

There is no official word on when the show will return for a second season as of yet; everyone is assuming it will air sometime this year, but no one knows for sure when or even what month just yet.
