BTS Breaks The Record For Most Streams By An Asian Act With 100 Songs With 100 Million Views. ARMY means it when they say “No one is doing it like BTS.” And now, BTS has once again shown this by being the first and only Asian and Korean act to have 100 songs with 100 million streams on Spotify.
This makes them only the third act in the history of the world to do this. Drake, from Canada, and Bad Bunny, from Puerto Rico, were the first two. It was their 2018 album Love Yourself: Tear’s B-side single “134340” that became the 100th song to reach 100 million streams. On September 21st, Korean Standard Time, it surpassed 100,000,000 streams.

They are only the second band in history to have three albums where every single track has accumulated more than 100 million streams. It all started with The Weekend. Among musical acts, BTS is unparalleled in its history of firsts and landmark achievements.
As of 2021, their single “Dynamite” had topped both the South Korean and American charts, making history as the first South Korean song to reach the top spot on both the Billboard Global 200 and the US Billboard Hot 100 since the group’s debut in 2013.

They also received their first Grammy nomination in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for that same year. In 2020, they were also among the very first acts to play at New York City’s annual Rockin’ New Year’s Eve event.
In addition to being the first K-Pop group ever to perform at the United Nations in 2021, they also made history in 2018 by giving a speech to the world body. Their achievements in history are too numerous to list, and ARMY is confident that this is not the final chapter.

Taking a short vacation from their group activities hasn’t stopped them from setting new benchmarks. Meanwhile, as reported by K-pop media outlet Koreaboo, HYBE’s stock values have fluctuated in recent months as the group’s eldest member, Kim Seokjin, faces the prospect of military enlistment.
Jin, his stage name, reaches 30 in December and therefore must serve in the military this year. It’s still uncertain, though, if he actually will.
