The popular singing group BTS is a force to be reckoned with. The Korean record companies have never followed the model set by either the Western or K-pop music industries. Instead, they have always done things in their own way.
This is one reason why people always praise what they do and why their fame keeps growing. The group is making a path for other acts to follow. To find out more about the group’s future, though, you need to know more about their past and their firsts.
Bts First Music Show Win
The group had been together for two years before they won their first music show. They finally won their first music show with “I Need U” on SBS MTV’s The Show on May 5, 2015. Even though artists like Block B and EXID were strong rivals, BTS won.

This was a big moment for the group, and the people in it couldn’t say anything. In the cutthroat K-pop music business, where they were signed to a label with no name recognition or standing, this win was a small step toward their rise to fame.
The group didn’t forget to thank their fans, and right after they won, they went on Twitter to let the ARMYs know how happy they were to have won their first music show. They have won 156 music shows so far, making them the acts with the most wins. Their song “Dynamite” has won 32 music show awards, making it the song with the most wins.
BTS First Daesang
BTS went to every award show, did their best, and put on great shows that ARMYs could look forward to. They did this for the fans and didn’t really care if they won any awards or not.
BTS’s dedication to music did, however, win them the Record of the Year award at the Melon Music Awards in 2016 for their compilation record The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever. They were the first artists from a business other than the “Big 3” to win a Daesang in a while, breaking the monopoly of the “Big 3.”
BTS also won the Artist of the Year Grand Prize at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in the same year. At the moment, they are the group with the most awards and the most Daesangs, with 65 and counting. They have also won two Daesang sweeps at MMA and MAMA, which shows how big of a star they are and how popular they are.

First no. 1 On The Billboard 200
The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 2 by BTS, which came out in 2015, was the group’s first record to show up on the Billboard 200 chart. It was at number 171. This was a huge change in their lives, and their fame could be seen all over the world, especially in the biggest music market in the world.

With Love Yourself: Tear, their third studio album, BTS got their first no. 1 on the Billboard 200 album charts in 2018. They were the first group from K-pop to do this. The group’s most recent record, Proof, is one of six that debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 album charts.
First Grammy Nomination
When they were asked to be speakers at the Grammys in 2019, it was the first time BTS went to the show. They told their fans they would come back to the stage, and in 2020, they were asked to do just that.
They couldn’t go to the awards show in 2021 because of Covid-19, but that was the year their song “Dynamite,” which was a worldwide hit, got them their first nod for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.” The seven-member group was nominated again in the same category in 2022 for their hit song Butter.
