The seven-member boy band BTS from South Korea has started their mandatory military service. In 2025, Jungkook, RM, Suga, Jimin, J-Hope, and V will all be back together. Beginning in December 2023, members of the singing group Jimin and Jungkook were enlisted with members RM and V.
Every man in South Korea must serve in the military if he is between the ages of 18 and 35. The members unanimously decided to carry out their military responsibilities, even though there were talks about exempting BTS.
The first member of BTS to enlist was Jin, who, not long after turning 30, made his way to a military training center close to the North Korean border. Jin is said to be set to finish his duty on June 12, 2024, according to My K-Pop programs.

J-Hope and Suga started enlisting a couple of months down the road. On September 22, 2023, Suga joined the military, and on April 18, 2023, J-Hope began his training. The anticipated completion date of J-Hope’s service is October 17, 2024.

On the other hand, Suga (real name: Min Yoongi) is not in the military but rather working for the government and is set to be discharged on June 21, 2025. Two individuals, Kim Namjoon (RM) and Kim Taehyung (V), joined the military on December 11, 2023.
On June 6, 2025, not only is RM’s discharge date determined, but V is also anticipated to return on the same day. Junjie and Jimin of BTS enlisted on December 12, 2023, and they will most likely be freed on June 11, 2025.
There was a lot of enthusiasm from fans on the internet. As your discharge date approaches, one of them said, “Here’s to another year of us staying well and bulletproofing till 2025.” What I’m thinking right now when I’m doing my solo projects, is, this is just like a vacation to get back to where I was, which was BTS and ARMY,” RM had previously said on Weverse.

Therefore, the entire solo effort is merely a journey—albeit a crucial one—leading up to chapter two. When we return and meet again in 2025, it will have been a safe journey home.
