BTS Military Service: The BigHit announcement that the members of the Kpop boy band will shortly begin the enlisting process in the Korean military has triggered strong feelings among the group’s devoted fanbase. The BTS ARMY is doing its best to document the group’s every performance and public outing.
As the group’s eldest member, Jin, is expected to enlist before the end of the year, the rest of BTS—RM (real name: Kim Namjoon), Jhope, Suga, BTS V (real name: Kim Taehyung), Jimin, and Jungkook—will inevitably do the same. Once Jin’s responsibilities around the release of his solo album The Astronaut are over, he will begin the formalities. Jin will turn 30 in December.

Fans want to know, now that Jin’s enlistment date is set in stone when the rest of the members will follow suit and return to the ARMY. BigHit has previously stated that the other members, including RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, will each serve in the military according to their own schedules and preferences. Then, in 2025, after three years apart, everyone will get back together.
Jin, the eldest of the group, will enlist in the military in December 2022 and serve until June 2024. Suga, alias Yoongi, will likely enlist in the military in March of next year and serve until September 2024.
Jhope and RM, two more members of BTS, could also join the military by February 2024 and come back in August 2025. BTS V members Jimin and Jungkook are expected to enlist in the make line in June 2024 and return in December 2025.
It may sound hyperbolic to call compulsory military service an act of enslavement, but that’s exactly what it is. https://t.co/AHdc6VRFYb

Meanwhile, BTS, a K-pop band that first appeared on the scene in 2013, has been steadily climbing the charts ever since. They are currently taking a hiatus as a group as they each work on individual projects. Both Jhope (BTS) and Jin (BTS) have already debuted as solo artists.
While Jhope gave fans pleasure with his solo album “Jack in the Box,” Jin has given them a treat with his solo single “The Astronaut,” which features Coldplay.
However, RM will also be releasing a solo album in the near future. On Tuesday, BigHit verified the rumor but withheld further information. The announcement read, “RM is now preparing to release a solo album.”
Although numerous sources have claimed that RM’s solo album will be released on November 25, confirmation is still expected. RM mentioned the album’s “surprise guests” in a recent interview with Pharrel.
