A teaser video for BTS’s V’s upcoming digital single, FRI(END)S, was released on the HYBE LABELS YouTube Channel by Big Hit Music on March 6, 2024. Kang Hyungrok was the director of photography, Song Tae-jong was the editor, and Seo Hana was in charge of the props.
A press release on Weverse was recently issued by the agency to mark the release of Kim Taehyung’s latest single. Fans began speculating about a potential trilogy the moment the short film debuted and quickly went viral.
Fans are Speculating About a Trilogy from V FRI(END)S
Fans who were paying close attention to the short video spotted a newspaper article regarding Layover, BTS’s debut album, written by V. It had six tracks and was released on September 8, 2023, by Big Hit Music.
During that period, the agency further posted an R&B album press release on Weverse, a social networking platform in South Korea. Taehyung has also posted concept photos for FRI(END)S. In the concept photos, Taehyung looks so hot with his eyebrow piercing.
The fans’ connections quickly went viral online, leading many to believe that a trilogy was in the works. Apparently, there was some sort of relationship between Layover and FRI(END)S, and he was planning to drop another album or single soon.
Fans speculated that the new single would pick up where the debut album left off, with some even going so far as to call V, of BTS, a “genius storyteller” when asked for specifics.
At the time of the R&B album’s release, @Taeguide claimed that Blue and Slow Dancing were not yet available. Fans have deduced that the single could serve as an extra track. In the wake of FRI(END)S’s publication, several ardent fans speculated that the band might be working on a trilogy or were just getting their musical feet wet.

March 4, 2024, was the day of the announcement of FRI(END)S’s promotional schedule. Coming soon, on March 8 at midnight KST, and March 11, at midnight KST, are Concept Photo 1 and Concept Photo 2, respectively, in terms of content. Up next, on March 11 at 10 p.m. KST, there will be a flash video unveiling.
Also, at midnight KST on March 10 and midnight KST on March 12, there will be Teaser Version 1 and Version 2, respectively. The scheduled release time for the music video is 1 p.m. KST on March 15, 2024.
