Fans are praising V of BTS for his inclusive diversity efforts. Originally published on his Layover EP, V’s new pop hit “FRI(END)S” debuted on Friday, March 15. A music video in the style of “dark comedy” with V as a guy who is utterly alone in a world full of couples debuted alongside the album.
The lack of diversity is mostly attributable to the fact that most K-Pop music videos are shot in South Korea. V allegedly hired a British director, actresses, etc., because he filmed “FRI(END)S” in the UK. The result was a higher degree of variety than was typical for MVs.
Despite seeing couples kissing all over the place, V spends half of the music video feeling lonely. Many LGBTQIA+ couples were among the lovely examples of love shown in the video. They were there in all their ages, s*xes, races, etc.
I don’t think ppl realise how radical it is for Tae to include queer couples in the MV in terms of dominant Korean attitudes, like it was subtly done, but they were there 💜 love you Taebear

Emotions ran high among ARMYs as they watched. They were grateful that their idol had included couples from many walks of life. Also, ARMYs pointed out how significant it was. The LGBTQIA+ community still faces significant barriers in South Korea due to the country’s conservative nature. Thus, it is commendable for V to publicly demonstrate his allyship.
not to get emotional but seeing old gay people in love warmed my heart pic.twitter.com/zAtnqgRHyD

Taehyung recently posted many photos on his Instagram about FRI(END)S.
Each member of BTS has repeatedly demonstrated their commitment to being an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community. Jungkook has previously included a lesbian relationship in one of his music videos. For more updates, you can join us on our Twitter account.
