Chuu, a former LOONA member, will attend a hearing for damages and sanctions brought by Blockberry Creative. The battle between Chuu and Blockberry Creative appears to be still going on, according to sources from February 1.
In December 2022, the label petitioned the Korea Entertainment Management Association and Korea Entertainment Producers Association, requesting that Chuu’s entertainment endeavors cease. By preparing to sign a new contract with BY4M Studio in 2021, the former LOONA member allegedly violated contractual obligations, according to Blockberry Creative.
According to reports, Chuu’s representatives formally responded to requests for the hearing on February 1. Additionally, Blockberry Creative filed petitions to forbid LOONA members Heejin, Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry from engaging in any form of entertainment.

Since then, Heejin, Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry have also prevailed in getting their exclusive agreements broken. Kim Ji-woo, also known as Chuu (Korean), is a South Korean musician and television personality born on October 20, 1999. She formerly belonged to yyxy, a sub-unit of the girl group Loona.

On October 20, 1999, Chuu was born in Cheongju, North Chungcheong, South Korea. She has two younger brothers and is the oldest of three kids. She performed Beyoncé’s “Halo” at her audition. Saying her given name rapidly gives her the stage name “Chuu.” She completed both San-nam Middle School and Saet-by Elementary School in Cheongju.
Chuu joined the Korean idol girl group Loona as its tenth member on December 14, 2017, as it was announced. On December 28, she launched her self-titled single album, which featured the song “Heart Attack” as its lead single as part of the group’s pre-debut release strategy.
On the Gaon Album Chart, Chuu peaked at number eight. She debuted as a member of Loona’s yyxy third sub-unit. Members of the sub-unit are Yves, Gowon, and Olivia Hye, and their May 2018 EP, Beauty & the Beat, peaked at number four on the Gaon Album Chart.

On August 20, she made her full-group debut with the EP [+ +] release, which peaked at number two on the Gaon Album Chart. BlockBerry Creative confirmed Chuu’s retirement from Loona on November 25, 2022.
