The COVID-19 Diagnosis Has Been Confirmed By Cody Rhodes, And He Provides An Update

Cody Rhodes, who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week, will be absent from tonight’s AEW Battle Of The Belts event, as previously reported. Originally, a rematch with Sammy Guevara was scheduled for him to defend the TNT Championship. Instead, Dustin Rhodes, Cody’s younger brother, will face off against Guevara in an attempt to crown an interim TNT Champion while Cody is out on the road again.

Cody delivered a status report for both himself and his wife Brandi Rhodes via Instagram stories. Several members of his family have tested positive and are being quarantined with them, he reveals in the article.

“Thank you so much to everyone who has gotten in touch. Both Brandi and I have been quarantined in the company of members of our family who have been diagnosed with Covid. Dealing with such a powerful infection and the potential consequences that can arise has been terrifying. During this trying time, we’re doing everything we can to care for the family and keep them safe. I’ll be quarantined for as long as it takes.

It’s getting better and better, Cody Rhodes continued. “Thank you so much for your support and care for our privacy. We appreciate it tremendously. Thank you to AEW for your understanding and continued support of the TNT Title and my current position. I can’t wait to get back. “With all my heart!”

After the positive test results were announced on Thursday morning, Rhodes sent a pro-vaccine message to his Instagram Stories. When he wrote this at the time: “Please get vaccinated—if not for yourself, for the little children/babies who can’t defend themselves as easily from Covid.”
