Diabolik Lovers Season 3 Release Date Status, Cast & Renewed? Canceled?

Konichiwa! I’m sure you enjoy anime, especially if it’s fantasy-themed. To be more specific, do you enjoy anime that is based on the vampire genre? Are you a fan of anime featuring vampires? I’m one of those people. So, how do you feel? Do you think you will? What if a variety of intriguing genres are combined?

Is it possible to combine romance, harem, and vampires? One of these animes is this one. A Japanese visual novel inspired Diabolik Lovers. This anime series aired in 2013 and featured drama, romance, mystery, horror, and a reverse harem. A game adaptation of this anime is also available.

For those who are unfamiliar with the term, a reverse harem is a harem that has been reversed. In a reverse harem, all of the male characters fall in love with the female protagonist. This anime is one of the most popular, but its only draw is its genre; otherwise, it lacks a compelling plot and fails to impress the audience.

However, regardless of whether the plot is strong or not, the genre itself is what drew in the viewers. The anime had two successful seasons and received a 5.2 rating from IMDb and My Anime List (MAL). Each season consists of 12 episodes, each lasting 12 minutes to view.

You can also disregard a special episode of the anime. If you’re eagerly anticipating its return and subsequent updates, now is the time to do it. Continue reading if you agree.

Diabolik Lovers Season 3: Release Date

On closer inspection, we discovered that while the anime’s rating is low, the Otome is performing admirably. If you’ve seen the anime, you’ll understand why it received such a bad rating.

To be honest, the anime is rather monotonous, with the same scenario occurring over, and the female lead is portrayed as a weakling who is treated like a doormat by all of the male characters, which isn’t quite the reverse harem feature. As a result, the anime becomes the primary factor in the low rating.

However, as we all know, the vampire fiction appeals to a wide range of people, particularly youngsters. So, if you’re a fan of the genre or even if you’re unfamiliar with it, I recommend you watch it. Regardless, the producers continued on with a new season, which is season 2, despite the low ratings.

The anime isn’t entirely dependent on its rating because it’s based on a game. The game served as the inspiration for the manga, which was adapted into an anime. The first and second episodes were huge hits, but as the plot progressed, the numbers fell.

According to the statistics, the creators were unconcerned with the anime’s rating, and season 2 broadcast even after season 1’s low ratings. However, as there are six games in the series, the anime will have more storylines to explore as more are released.

If the anime is considered a success, it is only for two reasons: first, it is based on a game, and second, it is a reverse harem, albeit a vampire one. This is a fantastic anime combo. If you’re a fan of Otome, you can also play the game.

Keeping all of this in mind, and despite the fact that there has been no news of the game being cancelled, it is still the most popular. A new season of the anime is very certainly on the way. However, we do not know when or what the tale will be. Let’s see what the creators decide in 2023, and in the meantime, if you haven’t already, go watch the anime.

Diabolik Lovers Season 1: Recap

Yui is a human girl who ends up living with the Sakamaki brothers at their mansion. The six dashing brothers are smitten with her blood more than her beauty. What will happen in the end if they treat her as their bride-blood slave?

I only gave a brief summary since I didn’t want to ruin the tension and intrigue by giving away the entire plot. So, before that happens, I recommend you watch the vampire romantic anime.

Diabolik Lovers Season 2: Recap

Diabolik Lovers II: More, Blood is the title for the second instalment. 5.56 stars Season 1 left you in awe, and this one starts up where it left off.

Yui is taken captive by the brothers, who each take turns sucking her blood as they choose, and she is once again controlled by their bloodlust. However, as a new set of vampires joins the scene, the storey twist will occur. They, too, are thirsty for her blood and have taken her following a vehicle accident.

They later disclosed that she is Eve, and that as she awakens her power, the two of them will seek out Adam, who is one of Eve’s brothers. However, as they strive to figure out who among them could be Adam, the identity of Adam remains unknown. With Yui at their slide, they both have an ambition to control the world.

Will the Sakamaki brothers be able to stop the Mukami brothers with the Sakamaki brothers who can’t forget Yui and are on a mission to get her back? The female characters have no significant role other than to respond to the vampires’ call; she lacks personality and gets stomped on by the guys.

She is a weak character who succumbs to the vampires’ feeding till she passes out. Give it a watch if you’re looking for a plot twist following Season 1.
