Mateschitz’s employment required him to travel regularly in order to promote the ‘Blendax brand of toothpaste. The Thai sweet energy-boosting drink Krating Daeng was the answer to his jet lag problems on one such business trip.
Mateschitz enjoyed the flavor and was inspired to create his own version of an energy drink.
