Disney+ Introduces New Original Korean Series: Disney’s continued success in the content business depends heavily on the company’s ability to produce high-quality K content. The Walt Disney Company announced new original programming for Disney+ and Disney+ Hot Star in the Asia-Pacific region on November 30 at the Disney Content Showcase held at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
About fifty pieces of original content, including films from Disney’s main studios, were announced for the Asia-Pacific region and their upcoming release on Disney’s streaming service. The most attention was paid to the Korean content announcement among the others.

Stars and crew from three upcoming original Korean series—”Connect,” “Big Bet,” and “Say It’s Love”—were in attendance and gave brief presentations about their projects. Coming out on the 7th of next month, “Connect” tells the story of a new species of humans who call themselves “Connect” and who possess eternal bodies.
Dong Su, a Connect, tracks down a serial killer with transplanted eyes. More than 400 Asia Pacific media and partners attended the event, and they were impressed by the performances of Jung Hae In, Go Kyung Pyo, Kim Hye Joon, and filmmaker Takashi Miike.
After wrapping up filming with the renowned Japanese filmmaker, Jung Hae In, Go Kyung Pyo, and Kim Hye Joon said, “The language barrier was not a problem at all.” Director Takashi Miike explained, “This isn’t just a simple action series, but it has drama elements as well. It is a series that the whole family can enjoy together.”
The 21st of next month will see the debut of “Big Bet,” a film about a former casino king who loses it all and must return to the game. Director Kang Yoon Seong, who was there with stars Lee Dong Hwi and Heo Seong Tae, announced that they would be returning for a second season.
