According to reports, he posted a picture of the hat for sale on the online flea market Bungae Jangteo and said that the singer had left the hat in the waiting area when the Kpop band went to the Passport Division to get their passports.
Because no one came forward to claim the hat for six months after it was reported as lost, he added, they now legally possess it. The inquiry into the former employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been concluded, and the Seocho Police Station in Seoul has revealed that no report of a lost hat by Jungkook has been filed.
The police reportedly told the Korean press, “We filed charges against A for theft in connection with the missing property. After extensive inquiry, A has admitted to all charges. We’re investigating further to see if there’s a legal basis for charging him with occupational embezzlement instead.”

According to HYBE Entertainment, BTS’ management team, Jungkook indeed misplaced his hat in the Foreign Ministry’s passport office waiting area. A misappropriation of lost property charge was initially filed against the person who tried to resell Jungkook’s headgear.
