The ‘2024 SUHO CONCERT SU,’ which took place on May 25-26 at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul, witnessed a remarkable sold-out crowd. On the final day, the performance was streamed live online via Beyond Live and Weverse, enabling fans from various countries, including the United States, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, Australia, Germany, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, and more, to join in simultaneously, reaffirming Suho’s global appeal as a solo artist.
Suho played a pivotal role in shaping the concert’s concept, with the name ‘SU’ symbolizing a welcoming “home” reflective of his unique artistic sensibilities. The stage design mirrored the house depicted in the concert poster, evoking different spaces like rooms, a living area, and a garden, employing elements such as sheer curtains, curved screens, and circular lifts to elevate the visual spectacle.
As a precursor to Suho’s upcoming mini-album comeback on May 31, the concert featured premieres of seven tracks from the album. Furthermore, showcasing his deep affinity for band sounds, Suho curated a diverse setlist rooted in rock genres, often performing alongside a live band. He showcased his musical prowess by playing electric and acoustic guitars on select stages. Guest artists Younha and Giriboy joined him on stage, adding their unique flair to the performances, which were met with enthusiastic applause.
The venue was awash with fans adorned in a pink dress code, holding banners that expressed sentiments such as “Thank you for inviting us to SU” and “If eternity exists, it would be the story of Suho and us.” They enthusiastically sang along to hits like “Let’s Love” and “Made In You” and organized various interactive events, including shining flashlights during the encore and launching paper airplanes, with Suho graciously reading the messages on the planes and shedding tears of gratitude.
At the concert’s conclusion, Suho conveyed his heartfelt appreciation, stating, “I want to thank EXO-Ls for attending my inaugural solo concert, as well as all the dedicated staff who contributed to its success. I poured my emotions into the performance, and I’m truly delighted to have shared this experience with you. Going forward, I hope to be an artist who speaks through actions rather than words. If eternity exists, it lies within our shared journey. This concert marks the commencement of my ‘Draw Line’ album activities, so let’s make more memories together in the days ahead.”
