After 10 months after its release, Jimin’s iconic solo debut EP ‘FACE’ is still going strong. Rather, he keeps on climbing, breaking records with each new release, and his lead single “Like Crazy” is just the latest example.
To begin with, as of the chart of January 21, 2024, Jimin has accomplished the rare achievement of becoming the only solo artist in history to spend more than 200 days charting at #1 on Spotify South Korea’s Daily Top Artists chart.
This record applies to all artists globally, not just those in South Korea. He also holds the record for the longest streak of any solo artist, having been at the top of Spotify South Korea’s Weekly Top Artists chart for 31 weeks as of the week of January 19–25.
Jimin has extended his record as the longest-charting soloist at #1 on South Korea’s Daily Top Artists chart, which he has held for 208 days as of the chart dated Jan 29, 2024. With a total of 77 weeks on the weekly chart and 541 days on the daily, he has certainly established himself as one of the country’s most popular artists.
As far as the South Korean Daily Top Songs chart is concerned, his smash single “Like Crazy” has been at the top spot for 100 days, making it the longest-charting Korean song and solo song in the chart’s history. Only the collaborative single “Seven” has ever spent this amount of time atop the charts.
