Fire Force Season 3: Today’s thriving anime industry can be directly attributed to the plethora of innovative and visually arresting shows available. For instance, the “Demon Slayer” film has already smashed a couple of box office records, and “Jujutsu Kaisen” has arguably become a must-watch series due to its unique blend of traditional shonen action and the supernatural.

However, we would be remiss if we failed to mention “Fire Force,” a series whose innovative take on a firefighting team and the idea of spontaneous combustion has contributed to the show’s justifiable success. Based on the manga by “Soul Eater” creator Atsushi Kubo, the show follows the exploits of Shinra Kusakabe, a third-generation pyrokinetic who can set fire to his feet.

While battling Infernals, humans who have been transformed into living blazes through spontaneous combustion, Shinra teams up with another team of pyrokinetic known as Special Fire Force Company 8.

One of the top five most-watched anime TV shows on Amazon Prime Japan, “Fire Force,” concluded its second season in December 2020. (Via Anime News Network). There’s no denying that “Fire Force” has devoted fans waiting for more episodes, so here’s everything we know about Season 3.

Fire Force Season 3 Release Date

On May 16, 2022, the official “Fire Force” Twitter account announced that Season 3 would be happening. We still do not have any information about the release date or the production status. At least we have something to look forward to while we wait for Crunchy Roll or Funimation to announce the release date: the anticipation of not knowing whether or not the anime will be picked up for a third season.

Without any news as 2022 winds down, Season 3 of “Fire Force” is likely to premiere in early 2023. Since both of the previous seasons of the anime premiered in the summer, the release of new episodes of “Fire Force” could be delayed for up to six months if the trend continues.

Fire Force Season 3 Cast

Cast members of the third season of “Fire Force” have not been made public. There has been a lot of continuity between the show’s first two seasons, so it’s possible that most of the original cast will return for the third.

Only a few new characters were added, including Makoto Furukawa (Japanese) and Zeno Robinson (English) as Ogun Montgomery and Kentaro Ito (Japanese) and Tyler Walker (English) as Scop (English).

Voice actors like Shinra’s Japanese counterpart Gakuto Kajiwara and English counterpart Derick Snow should return (Via Anime News Network). Similarly to the first two seasons, David Production is expected to return to animate Season 3.

The second season of “Fire Force” was directed by Tatsuma Minamikawa instead of Yuki Yase. Unless otherwise stated, Kazuhiro Miwa will continue as a chief animator, and Kenichiro Suehiro will continue as a composer for Season 3.

Fire Force Season 3 Plot

No specific information about Season 3’s “Fire Force” plot has been revealed. Because of how closely the anime and manga have aligned, we can probably predict what Shinra Season 3 will be like. The anime’s first season spanned volumes 1 through a portion of volume 11, while the second season covered the remainder of volume 11 and up to a part of volume 20.

Unless the anime series delves into filler territory à la “Naruto” or “Bleach,” Season 3 could adapt volume 20 up to its potential end if the manga is at its final point in the story. The second season finale hinted at a larger-scale showdown between Company 8 and the Evangelists in the future.

Shinra’s training was ramped up to a new level, dubbed “The Press Of Death,” so he could stand up to the Company’s more formidable foes. Meanwhile, Captain Hague’s death in the season finale was a significant setback for the heroes in Company 4.

Nonetheless, Shinra can now establish an Adolla Link, allowing him to witness Hague’s final moments. These occurrences will set up Season 3, in which Company 8 will team up with the Tokyo Empire to take on the Evangelist’s army.

Fire Force Season 3

Seasons 1 and 2 of “Fire Force” are highly recommended for viewing while you wait for Season 3. Unlike other anime and TV shows, “Fire Force” can be watched online via multiple services. In addition to being available on the always-reliable Crunchyroll, both seasons are available on Hulu for those with a basic membership.

French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, and English dubs are available on the widely used anime streaming service for both seasons. The anime can be viewed for free with advertisements (which can be quite lengthy on the streamer), or you can subscribe to skip the commercials and go straight to the show. Since its release in 2015, “Fire Force” has amassed a massive fanbase, inspiring two anime seasons and more than 30 volumes of the manga.

According to Anime News Network, this will be Atsushi Okubo’s last manga once the final two volumes are published. In this far-future world, humanity narrowly avoided extinction during the catastrophic event known as The Great Cataclysm. There was a global catastrophe in which many countries were destroyed. The aftermath leaves few safe havens for humans.

This includes the Tokyo Empire, which survived the disaster with minimal loss of life and territory. As a result of the Great Calamity, Emperor Raffles I of Tokyo founded the Holy Sol Temple. This shrine and Haijima Industries are responsible for creating the country-sustaining Amaterasu nuclear power plant.

There are evil people who, despite this time of relative calm, want to see a repeat of the Great Cataclysm and the destruction of humanity. Thus, eight fire departments across the country work to combat the evil forces and supernatural monsters that threaten the country’s citizens. Both sides of this conflict feature fascinating people matched in strength by very few others.
