(G)I-DLE’s Soyeon is the talk of the town as fans express disappointment over her minimal communication with them on the ‘Bubble’ platform. This unexpected turn has sparked discussions among followers, who eagerly await more interaction from their beloved artist. Let’s delve into the details of this situation and explore how it’s impacting the fan community.
(G)I-DLE’s Soyeon Faces Backlash Over Communication Gap With Fans On Bubble
Fans of (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon are criticizing her for her lack of activity on the premium subscription service Bubble.
Social media has been used by (G)I-DLE followers recently to express their displeasure with the idol’s lack of communication on the monthly subscription site. No member of the group voluntarily wrote a note on Bubble on the occasion of the group’s recent sixth anniversary of debut, which severely upset fans.
Amidst the chaos, attention has been drawn to an internet post claiming to be from a Soyeon fan. The fan attacked Soyeon in the post, saying, “Before being a producer, you’re an idol. Please communicate.”

Additionally, they looked into how frequently Soyeon’s Bubble—which she had started in April of the previous year—was providing services. Soyeon had only visited the platform once this year.
One fan said in a frustrated tone, “It doesn’t look like you do much, based on your unofficial account. Instead of constantly saying you’re bored, taking random photos, or putting up ‘Ask Me Anything,’ it would have been nice if you visited Bubble once. While other members and fans of different groups claim they have to mute notifications due to excessive noise, all I see are app update notices whenever I enter Bubble.”
The fans also stressed that they had brought up this matter with Soyeon on several occasions. They stated, “This could potentially be our final anniversary, yet nothing has changed, prompting me to voice my concerns.”
Different viewpoints have surfaced among internet users as the post gains popularity.
Several online users expressed sympathy with the fan’s feelings, writing things like, “Even one a month is disappointing, but once a year so far…? That’s too much,” “It’s disheartening to see fans begging for basic communication,” “Receiving such treatment after investing money is unacceptable,” and “When fans raise concerns, it’s a genuine issue.”
Alternatively, other fans said that those who were having similar difficulties should just think about quitting the fandom. Comments such as “Why endure insults after spending money,” “Unsubscribe and support other idols,” “I’m not sure why Soyeon even started Bubble but maybe she just wants to be a producer,” and “Instead of trying to change someone, go out there and look for your own happiness,” are all present.
The title single “Super Lady” from their second full-length album marked (G)I-DLE’s reappearance earlier this year. They continued their winning trend when they returned to action with the B-side single “Fate,” despite dealing with health concerns.
