She urged us to abandon the desire to return to the 1980s fashions. Let’s put an end to our lust for that. Accept it for what it is and let go of your anxiety. I know it’s cliche to say, “That’s the end aim,” but it’s the truth.

I won’t tell you that the thought hasn’t occurred to me; she said someone is continually making that suggestion. The advice was, “‘You know, if you just did a little bit of this and that, lift this, then this would be a little bit better.’ Put another way; it’s very similar to being offered crack, which is precisely how I feel.
