Brenda Gantt’s Husband Died In 2018
At the end of 2018, Brenda Gantt lost her husband of 50 years, George Patton Gantt, who was 72 years old. At Livingston University, George studied business and graduated with a degree. He was originally from Andalusia, Alabama. He was drafted and served honorably in the Marine Corps.
After George’s term ended, he remained in law enforcement by taking a position with the Alabama Beverage Control Board. After 25 years in the position, he decided to retire early. In addition, George and Brenda ran a bed and breakfast together, called The Cottle House. George was not only a devoted follower of Christ, but he spent more than three decades teaching at the Bethany Baptist Church. On September 23, 2018, he passed away in the company of his loving wife at their Andalusian home. The Bethany Baptist Church was chosen as the last resting place for him.
