A poll was recently held in the HYBE lounge on Blind, an anonymous online community for company employees. To join Blind, you must verify your employment by registering with your work email address. The poll asked employees what they thought about HYBE’s acquisition of SM shares.
According to the poll, 42% supported the acquisition, 23% opposed it, and 35% said they didn’t care whether or not HYBE acquired SM Entertainment.

“I didn’t agree to the takeover because it means more work for me, but after what’s happened in the last few days, I just want HYBE to take over,” one employee said. Another employee who opposed the takeover stated, “I want to see SM Entertainment taken over by Kakao, not HYBE.” “I was an SM fan, so I thought it would be good for HYBE to take over, but I think it would be too much of a headache if HYBE takes over, so I don’t care if they take over or not,” said the employee who stated that they didn’t care whether HYBE took over or not.
