The recent promotion of an imitation account of BTS’s V by HYBE Labels has fans perplexed.
On March 21, a fan voiced their displeasure with the most recent billboard ad they saw in Seoul on a popular online community. The official X account of HYBE Labels also posted this ad, which increased the impostor account’s visibility.

Several music videos set to V’s new single “FRI(END)S.” were featured on the billboard. Along with the creators of the YouTube shorts, the shot also featured their YouTube account.
The YouTube account in question is an impersonator account, as the internet user who made the community post pointed out. Fans have already reported this.
“It erased the V-topic with 2.2 million followers. We asked for its restoration, but nobody would listen, so a new account was created,” the user explained on the internet. Not long after that, an imposter V account was made.

Thus, the phony account is the first result that comes up in a search for V. Supporters have been demanding a resolution to this issue for several days.
