Hyuna and Dawn Concluded Their Relationship After 5 Years. Dawn and HyunA are no longer together. Their breakup was announced by HyunA on November 30. They had been dating since 2016. In an Instagram post, she said, “Our relationship has ended. We’ve settled on continuing to work together and as friends.
Please know how grateful we are for your unending patience, kindness, and protection.” On the same note, both HyunA and Dawn abandoned P Nation in August. The duo posted an allegedly engagement-related photo on social media, leading to speculation that they were a couple.
How HyunA Started Her Career?
Hyuna (sometimes spelled HyunA) is the stage name of South Korean singer, composer, rapper, and model Kim Hyun-ah. In February of 2007, she made her entrance as a member of the girl group Wonder Girls.
Hyuna soon after parted ways with the group and moved on to join the Cube Entertainment girl group 4Minute. After releasing their first album in June 2009, 4Minute quickly rose to prominence as one of the most listened-to girl groups in the country.
Hyuna launched her solo career in 2010. Her music is regarded as “performance-oriented.” In South Korea, her first solo effort, “Change,” peaked at #2 on the Gaon Digital Chart. Hyuna’s breakthrough came the following year when her debut EP Bubble Pop! was released.
She broke records by becoming the first female K-pop solo artist to have a single music video with over 100 million views on YouTube because of the success of the album’s title tune, which sold over three million digital copies.
Later that year, she and ex-Beast member Hyunseung released their debut single as the duo Trouble Maker. Her 2012 performance in a duet of Psy’s global smash “Gangnam Style” was met with critical acclaim, and her second extended play Melting, which included the hit track “Ice Cream,” was released the following year.
About Dawn
Dawn is the stage name for the South Korean rapper and singer-songwriter formerly known as E’Dawn. Before leaving Cube Entertainment in 2018, Dawn was best known as a member of the South Korean boy band Pentagon, where he performed as a rapper and penned songs for the group’s nine EPs.
Besides her solo work, Dawn has also released two EPs as a member of the group Triple H, which also featured her now-husband Hui and labelmate Hyuna. On November 5, 2019, with the release of the track “Money,” Dawn debuted as a solo artist. E’Dawn made her official debut as a dancer and a rapper on July 10, 2016, as a member of the group Pentagon, also signed to Cube Entertainment.
Pentagon Maker was a variety programme that served as the catalyst for the formation of the band. Even though E’Dawn was booted from the show, he ended up being included in the final lineup for the group alongside Yan An and Shinwon.
The words for “Lukewarm” and “Organic Song” were written by E’Dawn, and she also provided music to “Organic Song” on the group’s debut EP, Pentagon. Up until his departure, he continued to compose music and lyrics for the band (including “Runaway” and “Shine”).
