iCarly Season 2 Release Date Confirmed For 2022!

13 episodes have been aired in the first season of the “iCarly” reboot, which premiered on Paramount+ on June 17. Deadline reported on July 15 that the show was “one of Paramount+’s most-streamed titles” when it was quickly renewed after being available for streaming for about a month.

Congratulations to Carly Shay and her Seattle-based Bushwell Plaza family, one of the earliest fictional internet celebrities on television (Miranda Cosgrove).

ICarly Season 2 is currently filming and will premiere later this year, according to a series of tweets from Paramount+ about upcoming projects and titles.

Fans were already predicting a June 2022 release date even before the official release date was announced. Check out Paramount+’s announcement in full in the tweet:

The first season was chock full of throwbacks and guest stars from the original teen-oriented Nickelodeon series, which aired from 2007-2012.

It stayed true to its humorous, charming roots, even as it tracks a more mature Carly in her attempts to be relevant nine years after she quit her web show.

With another season now confirmed, that trend could very well continue in the second season. Here’s what we know so far about “iCarly” Season 2.

When will the iCarly Reboot Season 2 be Released?

According to Deadline, “iCarly” will begin production again in the fall, which means it is currently in pre-production. On August 25, Ali Schouten, the show’s executive producer, confirmed that the scripts were being written.

As a result, the next episodes could air around June 2022, a year after the first season aired. However, it’s too early to tell for sure, and no timetable has been provided.

Good news, though, if you’re in a hurry. The first season of “iCarly” began production in mid-March 2021, as confirmed by a press release from Nickelodeon, and it premiered just three months later.

Fans of the ‘iCarly’ reboot may see new episodes as early as January 2022 if production stays on schedule. The best-case scenario would be that.

Who’s in the Cast of iCarly Season 2?

Season 2 of “iCarly” is expected to feature the majority of the original cast. That includes Cosgrove as Carly Shay, Trainor as Spencer, Kress as Freddie Benson, Mosley as Harper Bettencourt, and Triplett as Freddie’s adopted stepdaughter, Millicent.

In addition to Mary Scheer as Freddie’s mother Marissa Benson, Reed Alexander played iCarly’s old arch-rival Nevel Papperman, Tim Russ played Principal Franklin, and Danielle Morrow played stalker Nora Dershlit.

All of these actors appeared in the first season of “iCarly.” Lewbert (Jeremy Rowley) and T-Bo (Boogie) may return to the show in the next season, according to Cosgrove in a video interview with Brazilian media outlet Foquinha on YouTube.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Schouten explained that gauging interest and then finding creative ways to bring characters back to the fold is a big part of any return.

It was mentioned that Trainor would like to see his long-lost friend Socko, as well as Victoria Justice, in the show. That would be a huge hit with the audience as well!

Jennette McCurdy, who played Carly’s best friend Sam in the original “iCarly,” is highly unlikely to return. Season 1 of the reboot did not feature McCurdy, who appears to have taken a break from acting.

Will there be any guest Stars?

As he tries to keep his eyes closed and his voice down, *Squints* Megan.

This is true: Josh Peck announced his guest appearance on the iCarly revival’s second season on December 13, 2021.

To put it another way, this means that the two former Drake and Josh actors will be reunited on the big screen — but this time, they won’t be feuding stepchildren.

As Paul, the “aggressive manager” of Carly’s band, Josh will be appearing as this character, who gets into arguments with Freddie when his management style causes problems for the band.

Carly, of course, finds herself in the middle of the conflict and tries to find a solution that will please everyone.

“Miranda is a good friend of mine, and when they announced the new iCarly, we chatted about finding something fun for me to play,” Josh said in a statement to People.

Working with Miranda, Nathan [Kress], and Jerry [Trainor] again on the iCarly set feels like coming full circle after all these years. “I can’t wait to be a part of this project.”

What is the Plot of the iCarlyView Reboot Season 2?

“iCarly” fans know that season 13’s cliffhanger episode is the 13th and final one of the season. Before Carly and her friends were rescued from their campsite, two men (neither of whom were Freddie, sorry, Creddie. shippers) confessed their feelings for her to the authorities.

Carly must choose between Wes (Josh Plasse) and Beau (Conor Husting), who broke up with her in the pilot, in the second season.

Schouten told Entertainment Weekly that the storyline will be resolved in “a very ‘iCarly’ way” quickly, but that she also wants to tackle a serious issue in an early episode: what it means to be a woman on the internet.

A few years ago, Schouten said that Carly was the first of her kind, one of the first content creators, but now they’re everywhere. In particular, women face a set of challenges that Carly would face, and that we need to pay attention to.”

After that, viewers may have to wait until Season 2 to find out what Carly and her friends have in store.

Is there a Trailer for the iCarly Reboot Season 2?

Definitely! In the season two trailer for iCarly that was released on Wednesday, March 2, the two characters kiss. OMG. After a trio of fans chant, “Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!” the two share an awkward smooch.

The possibility of a romantic relationship between Carly and Freddie (or “Creddie,” as Freddie’s mother proudly wears on a turtleneck in the trailer) appears to be on the horizon.

Josh Peck’s Paul, Carly’s “aggressive” manager who frequently butts heads with Freddie, also makes his debut.

With an air of superior arrogance, Paul asks: “Did you want iCarly to be the most successful web series in history, or did you just want it to be like a massive failure?”

He says, “I think it’s probably the most successful web series ever,” Freddie responds.

Here’s a two-minute teaser for season 2 of Carly and the gang: Freddie, Spencer, Harper, and the rest.

When will the iCarly Reboot Season 2 come out?

In a statement, Paramount+ confirmed that iCarly will return on April 8. There will be ten episodes in the upcoming season. New episodes will be released weekly, starting with the first two, which can be viewed immediately.

Final Thoughts

There will be a two-part premiere for the second season of iCarly on Paramount+ on Friday, April 8, 2022. The remaining ten episodes of the season will be released on a weekly basis, every Friday, starting in mid-April.

Fans of the original series are clearly being targeted by Paramount+. In the first season, the strategy worked, as iCarly was one of the most popular shows on the fledgling streaming service.

What if the season changes?

Everything points to it succeeding, as evidenced by the trailer’s nearly 1.5 million views in the first few days after its release.
