“Beauty and Mr. Romantic” is a new Saturday-Sunday drama on KBS2, and Im Soo Hyang and Ji Hyun Woo are discussing their roles in it!
In “Beauty and Mr. Romantic,” a production director (PD) falls head over heels for an actress, and the two fall in love as he helps her get back on her feet. As top actress Park Do Ra, Im Soo Hyang overcome numerous obstacles to create her filmography since she was young. Ji Hyun Woo plays PD Go Pil Seung, an ambitious dreamer.
According to Im Soo Hyang, “It was an opportunity to collaborate with writer Kim Sa Kyung once more, whom I previously worked with on ‘Blow Breeze,’ so I readily accepted” when asked about her decision to join the drama.
What Challenges and Emotions did Im Soo Hyang Mention About Park Do Ra?
According to Ji Hyun Woo, who had previously collaborated with Kim Sa Kyung on 2021’s “Young Lady and Gentleman,” the characters in the storyline were so real that they made Woo want to work with Kim Sa Kyung again. When an actor receives a second offer from a director or writer they’ve worked with before, it’s a blessing.
Im Soo Hyang made the following comment about her character Park Do Ra: “As an actress, I understand deeply the challenges and emotions Park Do Ra faces, allowing me to empathize with her character.”
She went on to describe Park Do Ra as someone who is “self assured doesn’t get easily intimated, straightforward yet endearingly warm on the inside.”
At the same time, Ji Hyun Woo admitted, “I go to the broadcasting station every day to experience what it’s like to be an assistant director for real” when asked about his transition into a drama PD. On top of that, I often visit movie sets to witness the crew in action.
Im Soo Hyang mentioned that she paid close attention to styling in order to make Park Do Ra look beautiful and elegant, in order to convey the impression of a top celebrity.
Additionally, I’m concentrating on accurately portraying Do Ra’s inner emotional journey as she undergoes substantial transformations as a result of a certain incident.
