The logo for Pledis Entertainment’s new boy group, TWS, was unveiled on December 21 KST. A combination of the words “Twenty-four-seven with us” and the sound “two-us,” the team’s name is one word. Pledis Entertainment claims that the name of the group “inherits the Pledis style of featuring numbers in the group’s name, like Seventeen.”
K-Pop lovers around the world have taken notice of TWS, the first new boy group to be released by Pledis Entertainment in nine years.
Nevertheless, Pledis might have wished for more positive reactions to the team name. The name sounds too much like another boy group, ONEUS, according to many K-netizens.
