‘Love Wins’ is no longer the name of IU’s pre-release single. Despite the positive reaction to the collaboration, some were worried about the track’s title when the singer-songwriter unveiled the teaser poster for her pre-release single starring BTS’ V.
This song’s title caused a stir because the phrase “Love Wins” has served as a rallying cry for s*xual minorities in pride parades; detractors said it watered down the original message. Another group of people felt it didn’t detract from the overarching message of love’s victories.
A new teaser poster featuring the revised title of the track ‘Love Wins All’ has been unveiled by IU’s label EDAM Entertainment. According to the label, “We decided to change the title to respect and support everyone who loves in their various ways, and we accept the opinions of those who express concerns that precious messages might be blurred due to the title.”
