Kim Taehyung of BTS and IU caused quite a stir online with their portrayal of a couple from a dystopian society in the music video for “Love Wins All.” Um Tae-hwa, known for his film “Concrete Utopia,” directed the music video. Perfectly embodying their parts, the two actors brought audiences an emotionally wrenching tragic love story.
Because of their roles in the music video, IU and Taehyung have been trending topics on social media ever since it came out. Countless TikTok videos including the music video’s clips have become extremely popular, garnering millions of views. The videos highlight the incredible acting skills and chemistry of the onscreen duo.
Even a week after the music video dropped, the hashtag #lovewinsall is still trending and has amassed over 100 million views in just two days.

Taehyung and IU were both included on the Hot Search List (HSL) section for one week on Weibo, one of China’s biggest social media platforms with over 605 million monthly active users as of 2023. The fifty most popular hashtags are shown below, reflecting their popularity among all users in real time.

Taehyung and IU’s flawless on-screen chemistry caused them to become viral upon release. Although IU’s vocals have received a lot of praise, some fans would like to see Taehyung reprise his acting role after his outstanding performance.
Their wedding photo-sharing platform saw 150 million impressions in a single day and over 100 million impressions in a matter of hours.

The whole music video and a subtitled version of “Love Wins All” were among four videos that went viral on Bilibili, the largest video site in China. Another video highlighted Taehyung’s appearance, and a third video focused on IU’s chart performance.
Both Taehyung’s Instagram post containing MV photographs of himself and IU and the release of Behind-the-Scenes videos caused them to trend for three and four times, respectively, on the Hot Search ranking, following their respective releases.
