Jackass: The Beginning is the first film in the series to include a fresh cast.
Johnny Knoxville stated in an interview with AltPress in 2018 that he is open to making a fourth Jackass film with new cast members, “just to bring in some fresh blood into it”.
“A tonne” of concepts have been saved in the event that a Jackass picture gets the go-ahead, according to him. It was reported that in an interview with Chris Raab, the Jackass crew was still open to a fourth film if Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine, and Spike Jonze agreed in July of 2019 on his Bathroom Break podcast. In an interview with The A.V. Club in September 2020, Steve-O revealed he was amazed that the film had even been made.
At the end of a podcast discussion with Bam Margera in January 2021, he revealed that Paramount Pictures views him as a liability because of his conduct in recent years. Jeff Tremaine had lobbied the studio to keep Margera in the movie, but Margera wasn’t convinced that Paramount would allow him to participate in filming. According to various videos Margera posted to his Instagram account on February 11th, 2021, he acknowledged drinking and said he had been dismissed from filming Jackass 4 as a result.
When he moved to Oceanside, California, Margera was spotted crying, vomiting, and referencing how to tie a noose. Antidepressants were prescribed to Margera, he claimed, as well as random urine tests and two rehabilitation centers that he paid for himself. Also, Tremaine, Johnny Knoxville, and Spike Jonze were slammed by him before he asked his fans to boycott the picture. As a result, he asked his fans to donate money so that he could produce his own film to compete with Jackass 4. Margera’s Instagram account was quickly cleaned up after the recordings were posted.
Tremaine requested a temporary restraining order against Margera on May 25, 2021, because to Margera’s Instagram harassment of Tremaine and Knoxville.
In response to Margera’s alleged threats to kill the Tremaine family, Tremaine was given an extra three-year restraining order. On August 9, 2021, Margera filed a complaint against Knoxville, Jonze, and Tremaine, as well as against Paramount Pictures, MTV, Dickhouse Entertainment, and Gorilla Flicks, saying that he was unlawfully sacked from the film’s production. Margera also says that the upcoming film makes use of contributions he made before his sacking and is seeking an injunction on the October release of the film as a result. Knoxville confirmed on January 12th, 2022, that despite the continuing case, a sequence Margera captured would be included in the film.
In a GQ interview from May 2021, Johnny Knoxville revealed that Jackass Forever would be his final film in the Jackass series. “You can only take so many chances until something irreversible happens,” Knoxville remarked. The chances I’ve taken and the fact that I’m still here prove to me that I’ve been extraordinarily fortunate. Knoxville made an appearance in GQ’s web series Actually Me on May 25, 2021.
There will be six new cast members in Jackass Forever, according to Knoxville, who previously appeared in the film Action Point as Eric Manaka, Rachel Wolfson, Zach Holmes, and Sean “Poopies” McInerney, all of whom are related to Jasper Dolphin. Forever, he unveiled the film’s official name during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live! on July 12, 2021, where he also shared some of the first images of it.
Wee Man was a guest on Chris Roberts’ The Nine Club podcast on July 12th, 2021. Wee Man opined that this was the most painful of the Jackass films for him because of how much it hurt. Because of COVID-19, he said, they had planned to film in several sites throughout the world. Jackass Forever was allegedly a test case for Paramount Pictures in case the COVID-19 pandemic actually happened.
This film was shot during the COVID-19 epidemic, which necessitated that all cast and staff members be tested for COVID-19 every day. Director Jeff Tremaine indicated on January 6, 2022, that the total cost of all the testing was over one million dollars.
In early March 2020, the first pre-production footage was shot. Professional skateboarder Aaron “Jaws” Homoki fractured his wrist during two days of test filming. To play on Bam Margera’s fear of snakes, the cast threw a handful of them at him in the dark on the first day of filming. Both Steve-O and Johnny Knoxville were sent to the hospital within two days after receiving the green light. A week into filming, Steve-O and Wee Man revealed that the COVID-19 outbreak had forced a halt to production. With Dimitry Elyashkevich as director of photography, production began on September 21, 2020. It was revealed to the public on December 15th, 2020 that Steve-O and Knoxville had been sent to the hospital as a result of injuries sustained on set.
The movie Jackass Forever will be released in theatres on February 4, 2022, thanks to Paramount Pictures. There will be a fourth Jackass picture released on March 5, 2021, according to Paramount Pictures. The movie’s release date was postponed to July 2, 2021, in April 2020. The persisting COVID-19 outbreak forced a second postponement in July 2020, this time to September 3, 2021. The film was again postponed in April 2021, this time until October 22nd, 2021. The film was again postponed till February 4, 2022 in September 2021.
