Jae Hee Found Innocent In Fraud Case Against Former Manager
On May 22 KST, actor Jae Hee’s agency announced that Seoul’s Gangseo Police Station dismissed the fraud complaint filed by his former manager, Mr. A, and concluded the investigation without charging Jae Hee.
Previously, Mr. A caused a stir by claiming that he lost contact with Jae Hee after lending him 60 million won in February last year for the purpose of opening an acting academy. Mr. A subsequently filed a fraud complaint against Jae Hee at the Southern Police Station in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province.

In response, Jae Hee’s representatives stated, “Mr. A was the representative of Jae Hee’s former agency. Amidst a conflict and legal dispute with investors around January 2023, he suggested that Jae Hee and other actors terminate their exclusive contracts with the former agency.”
They continued, “In February 2023, Mr. A, as the agency’s representative, terminated Jae Hee’s exclusive contract. Shortly after, Jae Hee’s contract was terminated without him receiving an unpaid appearance fee of 70 million won.” They emphasized that Mr. A resigned from his position.
Jae Hee’s representatives also asserted, “Jae Hee suffered significant harm due to the publication of his real name, malicious slander, and the spread of false information.” They added, “We will vigorously address any actions that tarnish the actor’s character and reputation with malicious false information, without leniency or compromise.”
Additionally, Jae Hee’s representatives announced their intention to file a complaint against Mr. A for spreading false information, defamation, and making baseless accusations.
