Off-stage, Jang Won Young shared her true self and said that she is far more outgoing than most people realize.
Jang Won Young from IVE appeared as a special guest on the most recent edition of Jang Do Yeon’s “Salon Drip 2” to discuss a range of personal subjects. Jang Won Young said, “I’m not shy at all” and Jang Do Yeon asked, “Do you approach people first?” Jang Won Young revealed, “Yeah! I’m not shy to approach people or to talk in front of a crowd. Ever since I started working, I never had a hard time on programs or was embarrassed. I don’t think I’ve ever been nervous.”
Jang Do Yeon questioned in response, “So what are you afraid of?” and Jang Won Young answered, “You know, like terrifying stuff! Ghosts… Insects. When I watch a horror movie with ghosts, I have to turn on all the lights when I go to the bathroom for a month.”
Netizens from Korea said:
“I think she has a friendly personality but isn’t the type to go around showing off her friendships. I think that’s wise though.”
“There’re a lot of fans who don’t like it when their idols show off their friendship with the right or wrong people. So I like that she doesn’t go around showing off her friendships.”
“I think for an idol, what’s important is that they’re good at their job and they treat their fans well.”
“Why does she need to show off her friendship to do work?”
“I think she is so smart.”
“Won Young is really awesome.”
