Jason Kidd is a coach for a professional basketball team in the United States. In addition to his playing career, Kidd currently serves as an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Kidd was a member of the NBA All-Star Game ten times, the All-NBA First Team five times, and the NBA All-Defensive Team nine times during his career. In 2011, he was able to win an NBA title. The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame acknowledged his accomplishments as a player by inducting him.
Jason Kidd Early Life
On March 23, 1973, in San Francisco, Jason Frederick Kidd entered the world. His mother is of Irish descent, and his father, Steve, was an African American. He was heavily scouted by AAU teams and tournaments when he was younger.
The East Oakland Youth Development Center was his school. A future NBA Hall of Famer, he frequently faced off against Gary Payton. While playing basketball for coach Frank LaPorte at St. Joseph Notre Dame High School, he led the Pilots to back-to-back state titles by averaging 25 points, 10 assists, 7 rebounds, and 7 steals in his senior year.

Kidd guided his team to consecutive state titles. It’s not the first time he’s been named “Player of the Year.” He went with the California school Berkley. He rejected offers from other highly selective schools. In 1994, Kidd declared for the NBA draft and ultimately decided to join the Dallas Mavericks.
Kidd joined the New Jersey Nets after being traded to them in 2001. One of his finest seasons had just begun. In 2004, he needed to have microfracture surgery to fix a broken knee, which required him to miss court.

Kidd was once again tracked down to the Dallas Mavericks in 2008, and despite intense pursuit from the New York Knicks, he rejoined the organization in 2009. Kidd and his model girlfriend Hope Dworaczyk announced their pregnancy in January of 2008.
Kidd has been coaching for both the Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks since leaving the NBA. He has competed in the Olympics three times, each time bringing home a medal for Team USA. Some of the NBA’s greatest point guards have played for him.
