Jimin’s solo career hit another big milestone. Since his solo debut in 2023, he’s earned a lot of awards. His music has done well on charts, both at home and abroad. He’s broken or set records on many music platforms and charts. Some of these records make him the first Korean solo artist ever, and even the first artist ever in some cases.
It’s cool that they achieved all this in less than a year without using big things like radio, ads, or playlists to help them. We don’t know for sure if Jimin has hit 3 billion listens on Spotify yet. But by February 2024, he had the most listens by a Korean singer on Spotify, with over 2 billion listens, which is a lot.
His streams will probably keep getting more popular, so he might reach 3 billion soon!

His most popular song is called “Like Crazy.” It’s from his first solo album called “FACE.” According to the Spotify charts from February 17th, the number of streams for the song ‘Like Crazy’ went past 877.6 Million, beating BTS’ ‘Butter’ with 877.5 Million streams.
This puts ‘Like Crazy’ in third place for K-pop songs with the most streams in their first year on Spotify. It’s worth noting that ‘Like Crazy’ hasn’t been out for a full year yet, so it might climb even higher on the charts.
As they marked this special occasion, fans couldn’t resist applauding Jimin for his amazing achievement. They especially noted that “Like Crazy” didn’t get the same promotional support as “Butter,” like being featured on the radio or playlists.
Additionally, ‘Butter’ has been around for 3 years, whereas ‘Like Crazy’ is only 11 months old. Surprisingly, ‘Like Crazy’ is still able to compete with ‘Butter’ in terms of playlist reach, indicating a strong organic demand from listeners.
