What Happened In Season 1 Of Jujutsu Kaisen?
The protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen, high school student Yuji Itadori, becomes embroiled in the realm of jujutsu sorcerers after coming into contact with an instrument holding the fingers of a strong Curse spirit, Sukuna. After ingesting one of Sukuna’s fingers to save his comrades and Megumi Fushiguro, a student at Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College, the first season of the anime opens with Yuji joining a hidden society of jujutsu sorcerers.
Megumi’s tutor, Gojo Satoru, helps Yuji regain control of his body when he is initially overcome by the Curse spirit. Gojo says that the jujutsu sorcerers’ elders want Yuji dead, but he was able to delay the execution by suggesting that Yuji eat all 20 of Sukuna’s fingers, which would result in both of them dying. In the first season, Yuji learns about the supernatural and struggles to rein in the power of Sukuna within him, but he eventually figures out how to use and feel the Curse energy.
As he, Megumi, and Nobara Kugisaki, a third-year student, continue their search for Sukuna’s fingers, they frequently find themselves at odds with malevolent jujutsu sorcerers.
After a heated battle, it was discovered that Mahito had taken six fingers and three Special Grade “Curse Wombs” from the Tokyo school while Gojo was distracted. After Geto warns the students of a plot to be carried out in Shibuya on October 31, Gojo wraps up the tense meeting between the two schools by holding a baseball game in an effort to divert their attention.
