According to Hanteo Chart, ‘GOLDEN’ achieved an unparalleled milestone by selling an incredible 2,147,389 copies on its very first day on the market. In the history of Hanteo, this is the first occasion that a debut album by a solo artist has sold more than 2 million copies in its first day of release.

But Jungkook’s journey to shattering records is far from over. In a remarkable turn of events, he has already broken the record for the best first-week sales of any solo album in just one day. Record sales for a debut album have previously been held by V of BTS, whose album ‘Layover’ sold 1,672,138 copies on its release day and 2,101,974 copies in its first week (Jungkook is a member of BTS as well).

In addition to making history as the first solo artist to sell 2 million copies in the first day of an album’s release, Jungkook is only the fourth artist in Hanteo’s history to do so. Now you can add Jungkook to the ranks of BTS, SEVENTEEN, and Stray Kids. The phenomenal success of ‘GOLDEN’ is evidence of Jungkook’s widespread appeal and the loyalty of their devoted fan base, ARMY.

With his solo debut full-length album, “D-DAY.” BTS rapper Agust D made history. The album sold 1,072,311 copies on Hanteo, the second-highest first-day sales.

FACE by Jimin

BTS vocalist and dancer Jimin’s solo debut mini album “FACE” is third. His first solo album sold 1,021,532 copies on Hanteo on its first day.

IM HERO by Lim Young-woong

With his debut studio album, “IM HERO.” South Korean singer Lim Young-woong achieved greatness. This album became Hanteo’s fourth-highest first-day seller with 940,624 sales.

ME by Jisoo

The only female artist in the top five is BLACKPINK’s gorgeous Jisoo. Her solo debut single, “ME,” sold 876,249 copies on its first day, making it Hanteo’s fifth-highest first-day album.
