Initially, the incident gained attention online for showcasing the group’s professionalism and strong live vocals. However, it was later revealed by a member of the university’s festival planning committee that the MR malfunction was a “planned event,” leading to disappointment among some fans.

The equipment malfunction on stage during NMIXX’s performance at the Shinhan University festival was a pre-planned event meant to heighten the mood on site, and this information was shared with the event’s organizers in advance, with an edited MR being used.
However, to make the event appear natural, the NMIXX members themselves were not notified of the event.
We would like to apologize for failing to consider that such an event might cause audiences and fans confusion and discomfort, and we promise to exercise caution so that a similar occurrence does not happen again.
Once again, we apologize to those in the audience who cheered on NMIXX during the festival, and to the fans.
