An official statement was released by JYP Entertainment on March 14. The statement addressed the agency’s continuing legal measures against false comments and defamatory remarks that have been circulated on social media and online communities, infringing upon the rights of artists.
“We are meticulously collecting evidence against those who maliciously defame, damage the honor, and spread false information about our artists, and we are proceeding with available legal actions in cooperation with specialized law firms,” the corporation went on to say.
“We will pursue legal action without leniency or agreement against acts that infringe upon the rights of artists through the dissemination of malicious posts,” JYP stated, adding, “We regularly collect malicious postings targeting artists and take legal actions against them. We ask for the active interest and reporting from fans.”
