K-pop Fans React to Rumours That LOONA is Planning an 11-member Comeback in January

K-pop Fans React: It was reported on December 7 that Blockberry Creative is gearing up for LOONA’s return in January. Various industry insiders have revealed that BlockBerry Creative has begun organising the girl group’s relaunch as an 11-member group in January 2023.

On the same day, Blockberry Creative’s representative acknowledged the facts and indicated that the label is actually planning for the girl group’s comeback as an 11-member group.

According to a representative from BlockBerry Creative, “It’s true that LOONA has started getting ready for a comeback, but there’s no word on when exactly that will happen.

The plan is to make a statement once the schedule has been finalised.” Many fans are anxious for the group since it was also claimed that nine members of LOONA are purportedly working to stop their exclusive contracts with Blockberry Creative.

Fans expressed anger toward the label and commented, “Are they crazy?” “The group’s not the same without Chuu,” “As an Orbit, I won’t be buying any of their albums. The members aren’t even paid well and the label is doing whatever they want to with the group,” “How are they going to do a comeback when 9 of the 11 are taking legal action to suspend the contract,” and “Do they think fans would buy their album after all this?”

Loona is a South Korean girl group formed by Blockberry Creative. The group’s pre-debut project began in October 2016, with the plan to progressively introduce all 12 members over the course of the next 18 months through the release of promotional singles.

Their debut as a group was announced with the publication of the EP [+ +] (2018), which included the singles “Favorite” and “Hi High” for promotional purposes. In November 2022, Chuu was fired from the show.
