A song is given a Perfect All-Kill (PAK) if it has peaked at the top of the daily and real-time charts of all significant Korean music streaming services, including Melon, Genie, Bugs, FLO, VIBE, and YouTube music, as well as the real-time and weekly iCharts from Instiz. Only the most well-liked songs can achieve this challenging feat and get the coveted PAK. Below is a list of the top five K-pop songs by hourly Perfect All-kill.

NewJeans – DITTO

Just five months after their debut, the rookie K-pop girl group NewJeans topped all charts with their first comeback. On December 19, 2022, NewJeans released “DITTO” as a pre-release single as a part of their debut single album, “OMG.” With the song, NewJeans scored their first Perfect All-kill of their career. “DITTO” dethroned BTS’s “Dynamite” to overtake it as the song with the highest PAKs on February 2, 2023. “DITTO” has so far received 655 PAKs in total.

BTS – DYNAMITE

With their first complete English language tune, “DYNAMITE,” which was released in 2020, K-pop superstar BTS held the record for having the most Perfect All-kill before being surpassed by its junior NewJeans. On August 27, 2020, “DYNAMITE” obtained its first Perfect All-Kill and 610 PAKs. For more than two years, BTS held the record for the highest PAKs, and they still have the distinction of being the male K-pop group with the greatest hourly Perfect All-kill.

IU – CELEBRITY

Most songs to receive a Perfect All-Kill are all performed by South Korean singer IU, popularly known as “Nation’s Sweetheart.” Therefore, it is not unexpected that her song “CELEBRITY,” which has the third-highest PAKs among K-pop songs, is popular. The song was made available digitally on January 27, 2021, in anticipation of IU’s fifth Korean full-length album, “Lilac.” With just 462 PAKs, the song immediately climbed to the top of all charts.

ZICO – ANY SONG

Zico is an additional soloist in the top five. South Korean musician Zico performs under his own label, KOZ Entertainment, as a singer, rapper, producer, and songwriter. He is also the band’s lead singer. Block B is a K-pop boy band. “ANY SONG,” Zico’s ninth digital single, was released on January 13, 2020. The song received its first Perfect All-Kill on January 17, making it the first song to do so in 2020. It received 330 PAKs in all.

IU – LILAC

21 tracks by IU have received the Perfect All-kill rating. “LILAC” by IU is another song that is in the top five songs with the highest hourly Perfect All-kill. On March 25, 2021, the song was made available as one of the titles tracks for her self-titled album. IU obtained her second PAK of 2021 with “LILAC,” which was awarded a Perfect All-kill on March 29. “LILAC” is now the fifth song with the most Perfect All-kills, totaling 265 PAKs.

Getting a Perfect All-kill is one of the toughest achievements to achieve. The song needs to be played frequently by the South Korean public in order to achieve Perfect All-kill. In South Korea, songs that achieve this status are referred to as “mega hits.”
