BTS has officially been crowned the most popular group in the world after breaking the record for the most streamed male group on Spotify for the second time.

As of 3 March 2023, their music had been streamed 31,960,000,000 times, nearly doubling the 16.3 billion streams set when they last set the record in April 2021.

The seven-piece band also surpasses BLACKPINK, the most streamed female group on Spotify, with 8,880,030,049 individual streams.

“Dynamite” by BTS is the most streamed song on the platform, with 1.60 billion streams, followed by “Butter” with 1.08 billion and “Boy with Luv” feat. Halsey with 1.01 billion.

Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Maroon 5, and Queen are the top five male bands. BTS also holds the record for the most Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards blimps won by a music group, with seven.

BTS were named Favorite Music Group for the fourth year in a row at the awards ceremony in Los Angeles, California!

No other act has won the award four years in a row. One Direction and Fifth Harmony had previously won the award for three years in a row.
