K-Pop’s Group BLACKPINK Has Achieved 1.5 Billion Views Across Three Music Videos. The music video for “DDU-DU DDU-DU” reportedly surpassed 1.8 billion views on YouTube at 5:02 pm KST on February 1.
This was reported by the agency YG Entertainment. It was published on June 15, 2018, so it’s been about three years and seven months since then. Achieving 2 billion views this year is feasible, the agency said, based on current trends.
BLACKPINK’s first mini-album, titled “SQUARE UP,” features the catchy title track “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” which features a chorus that will have you singing along and choreography that looks like you’re firing a gun.

The song was an instant success, debuting at number 55 on the main singles chart for the US Billboard at the time, and going on to become the year’s most-watched K-pop music video. All K-pop male and female groups combined saw their YouTube views surpass 1.5 billion in February 2021.
There are 32 BLACKPINK videos with over a billion views on YouTube, and the total number of views for all of their videos combined is over $22.3 billion. Kill This Love, by BLACKPINK, has previously racked up more than 1.5 billion views on YouTube.
