BTS The seven-member Korean pop group BTS—RM, Jin, Jhope, V aka Kim Taehyung, Suga, Jimin, and Jungkook—are all presently serving in the South Korean military. Jin has returned from his military service. Having joined the obligatory military duty in December 2022, the oldest member Jin, nicknamed Kim Seokjin, is scheduled to return this year, in 2024. Fans have already begun to fantasize about his return scenario with only six months to go. ARMY predicts that many fans will be visibly moved upon seeing Jin’s comeback.
Via a comparison to the popular sense from the Bollywood classic Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, fans imagined BTS Jin aka Kim Seokjin’s return in the style of Shah Rukh Khan in a video that went viral. Memes have been circulating for a long time about Shah Rukh Khan’s entrance and Jaya Bachchan’s reaction to it in the film directed by Karan Johar. And now BTS is a part of it as well. Jaya Bachchan, standing in for the BTS ARMY, rushes to the front door with weeping eyes to greet Jin as he returns home in the edited footage. Fans are hoping for a similar response during Jin’s return, as the video has gone viral online.

Fans of BTS were entertained with the video. Some even broke down in tears when expressing their anticipation for 2024, the year Jin returns home. One of the admirers wrote, “The only reason I’m waiting for 2024, otherwise I’ll skip.” “I will lose my sh*t completely on that day,” another fan commented. At the same time, BTS Jin enlisted on December 12, 2022, and will be dismissed from national service on June 12, 2024, after serving for 18 months. BTS Members Military Service
Although BTS Jin is set to return in June 2024, Jhope, who joined in April 2023, is slated to return in October 2024. V, alias Kim Taehyung and BTS leader RM joined the military on December 11, 2023. June 2025 will be their return date. It is anticipated that Jimin and Jungkook will return in June 2025, while RM and V enrolled the day after in December 2023. They decided to join as a pair and complete training together using the buddy system. It is believed, however, that training under the buddy system is more rigorous and severe.
While not serving in the military, BTS member Suga is also fulfilling his national service. The BTS musician is now acting as a social service agent after being exempted from the same due to a shoulder ailment. He is scheduled to return in 2025 after serving for 21 months.
