KPOP Broadway Has Been Postponed Until November 27. After beginning previews on October 13 at the Circle in the Square Theatre, the official opening of the new musical “KPOP” has been pushed back to November 27.
One of the lead actors will be missing the show’s Nov. 20 opening due to COVID-19, thus the premiere date had to be pushed back. Opening night festivities for the production, which contains a script by Jason Kim and music/lyrics by Helen Park and Max Vernon, will still take place on November 20.
Teddy Bergman helms “KPOP,” which also features the choreography of Jennifer Weber, the scenic design of Gabriel Hainer Evansohn, the costume design of Clint Ramos and Sophia Choi, the lighting design of Jiyoun Chang, the sound design of Peter Fitzgerald and Andrew Keister, the projection design of Peter Nigrini, the hair and wig Design of Mia M. Neal, and the makeup design of Joseph Dulude II and Suki Tsujimoto.
A full cast including Luna, Julia Abueva, BoHyung, Major Curda, Jinwoo Jung, Jiho Kang, Amy Keum, James Kho, Marina Kondo, Eddy Lee, Joshua Lee, Jully Lee, Lina Rose Lee, Timothy H. Lee, Abraham Lim, Kate Mina Lin, Aubie Merrylees, Min, Patrick Park, Zachary Noah Piser, Kevin Woo, and John Yi can be seen in this production.
